Drivers were grouped into classes by experience level (Novice, Sporting, Super Sporting, and Legacy) so newcomers and veterans could race side by side instead of being sorted out by a single tier. That same door opened to Toyota's own people too: staff across the dealership network were endorsed for exposure and training, turning the people who sell the car into people who race it.
Even amateur sim racers could qualify online or at dealerships for TGR's GT Championship on Gran Turismo. Winners trained on a real track to compete at the PH Cup itself; one even won in the Novice Class, turning sim racing into an actual gateway into motorsports.
Spectators ranged from lifelong car nerds to first-timers. The 2025 Philippine Cup leaned further into accessibility with a closer venue, free shuttle rides, OPM concerts, exhibitions, and signed photocards—turning a race weekend into something the whole family, car and race enthusiasts of all levels, and total newbies could show up for.
